Decorative stone
One side of a decorated piece of soapstone which has a design carved on both sides. See next image for other side of item. Fishing weight with markings from the Norse era

7cm long x 4.5cm wide x 0.8cm deep
The marks may represent a tally for counting. The stone was found at Gord, Fetlar, when the owner of the house was digging his garden. It is thought the site is a Norse house, and contains good quality artefacts.
